Illustration for The Locals World

The brand The Locals World reached out to me to create the design for their new collection, centered around a theme I deeply connect with: reconnecting with nature.

From that starting point, I developed an illustration rich in symbolic layers, blending the absurd with the fantastical through visual storytelling.

At the center of the image is a robot — a synthetic being who, by stepping away from routine and screens, allows itself to fully inhabit the natural world.
In this act of «unplugging,» the character becomes a bridge to a magical space, where every detail — water, plants, sky — invites us to rediscover the beauty in simplicity, to listen, and to imagine.

A visual metaphor that reminds us that real connection isn’t found in the digital world, but in nature… and within ourselves.

La marca The Locals World me contactó para desarrollar el diseño de su nueva colección, con una temática que me encantó: reconectar con la naturaleza.

A partir de ese punto de partida, exploré una ilustración cargada de capas simbólicas, con una narrativa visual donde lo absurdo y lo fantástico se entrelazan.

El protagonista de la escena es un robot: un ser artificial que, lejos de su rutina y pantallas, se permite habitar el entorno natural.
En ese gesto de «desenchufarse», se transforma en un puente hacia un mundo mágico, donde cada detalle —el agua, la vegetación, el cielo— nos invita a redescubrir la belleza de lo simple, a escuchar y a imaginar.

Una metáfora visual que nos recuerda que la verdadera conexión no está en lo digital, sino en la naturaleza… y en nuestro interior.
