For this special vinyl-format edition, El Duende invited me to create an image that speaks to music as a space of memory and emotion.
The issue explores the songs that have marked the lives of different artists, featuring interviews and exclusive visual content.
My work focused on conceptualizing and developing a central illustration that reflects the magazine’s musical spirit. The piece depicts a body floating in space wearing an outfit inspired by Tyler, the Creator. Surrounding elements carry symbolic meaning: branches that evoke roots, memory boxes, flowers referencing The Wall by Pink Floyd, and the Voyager satellite as a capsule preserving our personal “life playlist.” Scattered pixels hint at the hazy memories that music reawakens.
The goal was to combine color, texture, and form so that every symbol added a layer of meaning and conveyed the sense of emotional journey that only music can evoke. The result complements the collectible nature of the magazine and its commitment to tangible, experiential formats.

Para esta edición especial en formato vinilo, El Duende me propuso crear una imagen que dialogara con la música como espacio de memoria y emoción.
El número explora las canciones que han marcado la vida de distintos artistas, con entrevistas y material gráfico exclusivo.
Mi trabajo consistió en conceptualizar y desarrollar una ilustración central que reflejara el espíritu musical de la revista. La pieza muestra un cuerpo flotando en el espacio con un atuendo inspirado en Tyler, the Creator. A su alrededor aparecen elementos simbólicos: ramas que evocan raíces, cajas de recuerdos, flores que remiten a The Wall de Pink Floyd y el satélite Voyager, pensado como cápsula que guarda nuestra propia “playlist” de vida. Pequeños píxeles dispersos aluden a recuerdos difusos que la música vuelve a despertar.
El objetivo fue combinar color, textura y forma para que cada símbolo aportara una capa de significado y transmitiera esa sensación de viaje emocional que solo la música puede provocar. El resultado acompaña el carácter coleccionable de la revista y su apuesta por formatos tangibles y experienciales.
